Zero Student Tracking Architecture

Privacy Policy & Client-Side Local Storage Architecture

Our absolute commitment to FERPA alignment, student privacy, and client-side computational isolation. Return to Texas Schools home.

Client-Side Local Storage & Zero Student Data Collection

Texas Schools operates on a privacy-first, zero-tracking architecture. All interactive district comparisons, saved academic calendar dates, and calculator scratchpads execute client-side via browser LocalStorage without storing personally identifiable information or transmitting student data to third-party ad networks.

Unlike educational portals that monetize user behavior through intrusive data brokering or tracking pixels, Texas Schools was engineered under a strict zero-data-retention philosophy. We do not require account registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses to access any directory feature, search utility, or calculator.

When you use our interactive comparison tools or adjust bell schedules in the TEC §25.081 minutes calculator, all state variables are processed ephemerally within your web browser's memory sandbox. Any persistent preferences (such as selected districts or saved campus pins) are retained solely within your local browser's localStorage container. This data never traverses our edge servers and is instantly wiped whenever you clear your browser cache.

Cookie-Free Architecture & Third-Party Telemetry Absence

Texas Schools does not deploy third-party advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking scripts, or invasive biometric fingerprinting technologies. Our static edge infrastructure is distributed via Cloudflare Pages, utilizing privacy-preserving, cookieless edge telemetry strictly to monitor network availability and mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) threats.

To monitor directory search quality and campus lookup performance, we implement privacy-hardened Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-8GYDKV50JG) adhering to European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards and Google Consent Mode v2. Under this protocol, analytical storage, ad personalization, and advertising user data are set to denied by default until a visitor grants explicit consent via our on-screen privacy controls. All IP addresses are automatically anonymized, and no student records, family identifiers, or cross-site tracking profiles are ever compiled or transmitted.

We are committed to maintaining compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and Texas state data governance regulations.
